Our Story
What in 2012 began as 20-minute HOST sessions—a “Fitness for your Mind & Network” in a co-working space in Amsterdam, has evolved into the cutting-edge HOST platform for human-centered leadership education, consultancy, training, and coaching.
HOST stands for unlocking Human energy, Openness to engage, Shared perspectives & resources to help Transform people, teams, organizations, and societies.
Over the years, HOST has grown into a vibrant global community of practitioners—experienced consultants, trainers & coaches, and L&D-, HR-, Change leads, and executives, all united by a shared mission, namely:

To increase accessibility of HOST Solutions and career and business opportunities for our growing community, we launched the online HOST platform: an interactive workplace that continuously evolves by sharing best practices, skills and experiences between HOST professionals and consultants who are on a mission to support the transformation of people, business, and society towards a sustainable future for all.
2017 – Global partnerships to scale impact
HOST certification allowed for rapid growth of a global community of practitioners. HOST practitioners were eager to spread human-centered leadership across and beyond organizations, and thereby make HOST accessible to more people. This inspired the partnership approach introducing Licensed Partners of the HOST framework to scale impact, and create win-win-win opportunities on a people, business, and societal level.
2016 – Certified over 150 HOST practitioners in one year
Forward-thinking organizations, like-minded peers, change consultants, coaches, and trainers based in the EU, USA, and Asia requested a train-the-trainer experience to enable their own organization and clients to transform from the inside-out and outside-in. The network of HOST practitioners grew organically over time. The train-the-trainer approach was further professionalized by setting up the HOST certification.
2014 – Hosting human connection in the workplace
Jessica Tangelder and the early HOST adopters, peer consultants, coaches, facilitators and trainers, validated that “a sense of belonging” and feeling connected with self and others was lacking in most (co)workspaces which is a primary human need to flourish in (work)life.
The lack of connection and engagement in the workplace inspired Jessica, now HOST2Transform founder, to initiate 20 minute “fitness for the mind & network” sessions. These sessions became known as “host to transform” sessions. The goal bak then was to help leaders and business owners, part of teams and organizations, continuously develop and grow as a person, professional, and business, by boosting their networks and mindset.

HOST2Transform leverages the HOST approach to set the new human-centered standard in leadership, business, and education (L&D) by connecting people with themselves, others, and their environment; their ecosystem and nature. HOST stands for:
